A paved road winding through vast, golden rice fields in An Nhứt Commune, Long Điền District, Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu Province, is currently drawing a large number of locals and tourists eager to take photos.
In recent days, a paved road cutting through the expansive, golden rice fields in An Nhứt Commune has become a social media sensation. This picturesque scene, often compared to landscapes from famous animated films, is quickly attracting locals and tourists from all over to admire and photograph.
Woai Nguyễn, a 29-year-old photography enthusiast from Ho Chi Minh City, visited the An Nhứt Commune rice fields five consecutive times during the last week of March to capture the scenery from sunrise, through midday sun, to sunset.
"As soon as I saw a short video of these golden rice fields, I packed my bags and hit the road. The fields are located right by An Nhứt Bridge, just over 80km from Ho Chi Minh City, which is about a 1 hour and 15-minute drive," Woai Nguyễn shared.

The rice field has unexpectedly become a popular check-in spot for locals and tourists. Photo taken on March 22.
Arriving just as the sun began to rise, he witnessed the vast fields shimmering in the early morning light, with the faint scent of rice wafting through the quiet, peaceful air. Occasionally, he encountered farmers tending to their fields. They were simple, rustic, and incredibly hospitable.
"The image of the paved road cutting through the fields reminds me of Japanese manga and animated films. The scenery is both familiar and poetic, making me feel proud of my country's beauty," Woai Nguyễn shared. His photo series received tens of thousands of interactions on social media.

The young man from Ho Chi Minh City visited An Nhứt multiple times to admire the fields at different times of day.
According to Woai, by the afternoon of March 29, locals had begun harvesting the ripe rice. "Many young people who arrive late will be disappointed not to be able to check in with the fields at their most beautiful. However, in just a few months, that scene will reappear," Woai noted.

Lê Nguyên from Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu, another young photography enthusiast and local tourism promoter, also created a viral photo series at the An Nhứt fields. According to Nguyên, the local residents primarily rely on agriculture, especially rice cultivation. In recent years, infrastructure for transportation and irrigation has been developed to support agricultural growth. The paved road crossing the rice fields in An Nhứt Commune, Long Điền District, is 2.3km long and cost 10.3 billion VND, having been completed just before Tết. The 5-meter wide road runs alongside an irrigation canal, connecting from National Highway 55 to the main road passing through Tam Phước Commune.

Images captured by Lê Nguyên were widely shared on social media.

This market has also been "making waves" recently due to its rustic yet unique charm. It offers authentic local dishes such as An Nhứt bánh hỏi, bánh khọt, bánh cuốn, hột vịt lộn (balut), fried fish balls, grilled corn, grilled sweet potatoes, and various fresh seafood, all prepared by local residents.
