Inspired by Vietnam's ancient 'Children of the Dragon, Grandchildren of the Immortal' legend, Nghinh Phong Tower in Phu Yen, standing at approximately 25m tall, has become a popular check-in spot, drawing many young people with its unique and unparalleled beauty.
Phu Yen is one of the most captivating destinations in Vietnam's sunny and windy Central region. It boasts unique attractions like Ghenh Da Dia (Disc Rock Rapids), pristine white-sand beaches with crystal-clear waters, and mountains that stretch right to the sea, creating breathtaking natural wonders. Among these appealing spots, Nghinh Phong Tower currently stands as a new tourism icon that visitors shouldn't miss when exploring Phu Yen.
Nghinh Phong Tower is part of Phu Yen province's new coastal public space project, built on a total area of approximately 7,000m2. The tower makes a strong impression on visitors with its unique design, inspired by the rugged, undulating formations of Ghenh Da Dia (Disc Rock Rapids) – one of Phu Yen province's most famous tourist attractions. The tower's core is constructed from reinforced concrete, while its exterior is clad in clean, polished granite. The base of the tower is formed by interlocking cylindrical stone blocks, adorned with unique and intricate decorative patterns.
Nghinh Phong Tower symbolically represents the 'hundred eggs' of Mother Au Co, stemming from Vietnam's ancient 'Children of the Dragon, Grandchildren of the Immortal' legend. Accordingly, the taller twin tower, standing at 35m, symbolizes Lac Long Quan, while the other tower, 30m tall, represents Au Co. The 'hundred eggs' are formed by one hundred stone blocks placed at the base of each tower, symbolizing sacred family bonds. Between the two main towers, there is a cleverly designed wind gap, incorporating many famous images of this 'land of yellow flowers and green grass'.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, a local resident, shared: 'Nghinh Phong Tower is a unique architectural work, rich in cultural significance, and a source of pride for everyone here. I hope that every visitor to the tower complex will have a visually stunning and impressive experience, and that this landmark will become even more widely known.'
